E.T. the Extra - Terrestrial

An UFO lands near Los Angeles. Strange beings exit the craft to collect samples in the area; one reaching the edge of the forest. Enchanted by the lights of the big city, the mission is forgotten. When it fails to board the ship in time, it finds shelter in the shed of the nearest house, where it is discovered by 10-year-old Elliot. They become friends, but the being, whom the children have started to call E.T., is homesick and tries to make contact with his kind at any cost…
