David Freyne was born on May 14, 1959, is an Irish Director, Writer and Producer. Dating Amber is his second feature, following the 2017 release of zombie horror flick The Cured.

This summer comedy about friendship and the search for one’s identity follows the shy Eddy and the independent Amber. To silence the gossip, they begin pretending to be in a relationship, which gives them the space to be themselves. Set in a small Irish town in the 1990s, their alliance gradually blossoms into a sincere friendship that helps them find the courage to accept who they truly are.
