Day of ∞ Possibilities with the Statutory City of Zlín – this year focused on education

The City of Zlín warmly invites you to a full-day program taking place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Náměstí Míru. In 2026, the City of Zlín builds on the success of the first edition and is preparing the second annual Day of Infinite Possibilities, once again forming part of the festival’s opening. On the first day of the festival, the square will be transformed into a vibrant space full of inspiration, discovery, and experiences for children and their parents. The Day of Infinite Possibilities will present sports clubs, organizations, and companies of the Statutory City of Zlín in a playful, interactive, and entertaining way. We want to show children that the city is not just a place where they live, but a space full of opportunities, people, and stories. And you can be part of it. This year, we will focus on education – let’s teach children something! An important part of this year’s program at the square within D∞M is the participation of the Tomáš Baťa Foundation. This collaboration is not only aimed at supporting education, but also marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Tomáš Baťa. The Foundation will inspire visitors with a “Desire to Create.” As part of the accompanying program on the city stage, visitors can enjoy various music and dance performances by Zlín organizations and art or music schools until 4:00 PM. We look forward to creating a day full of discovery, joy, inspiration, and a desire to create and learn new things – a day when children can try out everything that is possible in Zlín.

PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AT THE SQUARE:

ASTRA – House of Children and Youth Zlín
ASTRA will offer a program focused on nature, movement, and fun for children and youth. Visitors can try science-based tasks, physical activities, and enjoy stage performances.

Zlín Municipal Police
The Municipal Police will present their work, equipment, and preventive activities. Visitors can explore vehicles, gear, and try fun tasks.

Volunteer Fire Brigade Zlín (JSDH)
Firefighters will showcase intervention equipment and introduce their work in the field. Competitions and demonstrations of equipment use will also be prepared.

Technical Services Zlín
Technical Services will present their activities and modern equipment used to maintain the city. Visitors can explore vehicles and try how they operate.

Zlín–Otrokovice Transport Company
The company will bring a historic bus with a trailer and introduce the history of public transport. Drivers will answer questions and share interesting insights from daily operations.

Office of the City Architect of Zlín
The office will present projects and involve visitors in thinking about the city’s future. Children can play an educational game and design their own street, while adults can join discussions. Water Supply and Sewerage Zlín They will offer refreshments at a water bar and fun activities for children such as coloring. Small rewards will be given.

Zlín Municipal Theatre
The theatre will prepare creative workshops inspired by the fairy tale Playing with the Devil. Children can create their own crafts and take photos in a photo booth.

Statutory City of Zlín
The city will offer creative activities, a quiz, and rewards for children and adults. Balloons and a relaxation zone will also be available.

STEZA
STEZA will offer physical challenges and playful education about the importance of sports for health. Children will receive small rewards for completing activities.

FC Zlín
The football club will prepare sports activities, autograph sessions, and meetings with players. A fan shop with club merchandise will also be available.

Berani Zlín
The hockey club will offer autograph sessions, sports activities, and meetings with coaches. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments and the club atmosphere.

Házená Zlín (Handball)
The stand will offer interactive activities focused on handball skills. The program is suitable for individuals and groups.

Tomáš Baťa Foundation
The foundation will prepare workshops, activities for children, and a module on Baťa architecture. The program will be complemented by stage performances.

VSC Zlín (Volleyball)
Children can try volleyball on a court and enjoy other fun attractions. Additional sports activities will also be available.

Rugby
Zlín Rugby players will introduce their sport and its values, helping children understand the rules and the importance of teamwork.

Grand Finale of the Day The highlight of the day will be the opening concert by the band Monkey Business at 8:00 PM. The Statutory City of Zlín and the Zlín Film Festival present the opening concert of the 66th edition of the Zlín Film Festival.
