John grows up in a small Scottish town in the 1980s and, as a teenager, begins to struggle with Tourette’s syndrome. His uncontrollable tics and outbursts isolate him from others, but despite the lack of understanding around him, he refuses to give up. With perspective, courage, and the support of his loved ones, he searches for his place in a world still learning to accept difference.
