Film School HUB: An Inspiring Comparison of Film Schools’ Approaches to Student Filmmaking

The meeting will offer a unique insight into how film schools differ in their approaches to the creation of student projects. Through authentic sharing of experiences by the creators themselves, it will present different pathways—from the selection of a topic, through production support, to the film’s release. This pilot event will focus on animated film and will also include screenings of selected works as concrete examples of the approaches discussed. The panel discussion will bring together representatives of Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně, Filmová akademie Miroslava Ondříčka v Písku, and Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, and will also open up topics such as the influence of the academic environment on the creative process and the professional development of emerging filmmakers.
