When real events become film, questions of boundaries arise: what can a creator allow themselves, and where does inspiration end and a problem begin? The discussion will focus on the legal and ethical aspects of films and series “based on true events” — working with real people, their privacy, the responsibility of creators, and the limits of artistic freedom.
