Florence Miailhe *1956 Florence Miailhe patří ke klíčovým postavám dějin animovaného filmu, která snímky Hamman, Scheherezade či Le conte de quartier přispěla k rozvoji „expresivní“ techniky animace na skle, ve které patří k vůbec nejdůležitějším osobnostem této techniky. Jde vůbec o první celovečerní film realizovaný touto technologií. Francouzská malířka a režisérka animovaných filmů, která byla mnohokrát oceněna, mimo jiné v roce 2002 Césarem (francouzská obdoba americké filmové ceny Oscar) a v roce 2006 byla oceněna na festivalu v Cannes. V letošním roce dokončila svůj první celovečerní animovaný film Přes hranici.

As an older woman, Kyona looks back on the dramatic journey she undertook as a child with her brother when they were forced to flee a pogrom and the loss of their family. Their journey across a harsh landscape leads them among street children, into strict households, and to a traveling circus. This coming-of-age story set in a world marked by violence reveals the price of freedom and the losses that accompany it.
