Bernadett Királyová is a scenographer working across film, advertising, and theatre. In her work, she focuses on creating spaces that define the mood and visual character of scenes—from realistic interiors to stylized environments. She studied Interior Design at the Technical University in Zvolen and later at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, where she now works as a lecturer at the Studio of Spatial Design. She is behind the visual identity of the sets for the series Sex O’clock as well as productions for the Bolka Polívky Theatre. She works on projects across the audiovisual field—from films and series to site-specific installations. Her practice explores space across different scales and contexts, combining principles of interior design with emotion, light, and atmosphere.
How is a film created from the perspective of those who are not seen on screen, yet without whom no film could exist? This session will shed light on the behind-the-scenes world of filmmaking and reveal the work of professions that often remain hidden from audiences. The program offers a rare opportunity to look “beneath the surface” of film production and experience cinema from a completely different perspective—through the eyes of those who help bring it to life.
