Born in Montreal, Emilie Rosas began her studies in cinema at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2007, then went on to study directing at INIS (Institut National de l’Image et du Son) in 2010. In 2011, she received the PNA Scholarship from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
She has directed several short films, including The Lucky Pennies, Les bons termes selon Dewey and Like Dinosaurs, all of which achieved distinction, winning several awards at Canadian and international festivals.
She is currently developing various scripted feature film projects, including L’univers me comprend et m’engloutit and Cheer. Her virtual-reality documentary on opera singer Joseph Rouleau Final Encore has been selected by the prestigious South by Southwest Festival.
Currently, she is co-directing her first animated feature, based on a script she wrote: Lydia and the Mist Rider. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in February 2026.

Born in Quebec City, professional illustrator and animator Philippe Arseneau Bussières studied graphic arts before getting his training as a computer animator at the Centre NAD. From 1997 to 2000, he worked as a 3D animator for Ubisoft, contributing to the creation of video games and a pilot for the TV series Rayman.
In 2001, he directed his first short film, Street Slice, which won the audience choice award and the jury prize in the Vidéaste recherché(e) competition. Subsequently, he was responsible for art direction and animation on La vie avec un brin de folie, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. This short film was a nominee at the Annecy Animation Festival in 2004. Philippe then directed a second film for the NFB, Bon Appétit!, which was a finalist in the In Vivo competition.
In parallel with his animation work, Philip also has a career as an illustrator, collaborating with his life partner under the name Fil et Julie.
Since 2002, Philippe has pursued a career in the field of 3D animation, creating storyboards for 10th Ave’s first productions: The Story of the Christmas Stocking, The Tradition of the Christmas Log and The Kiss Under the Mistletoe. In 2013, the first 100% Canadian 3D animated feature, 10th Ave’s The Legend of Sarila, was released, with Philippe as art director. In 2015, he worked on the production of Snowtime and Racetime.
Subsequently, he was the art director on Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly and Simon, Felix and the Treasure of Morgäa, and Katak the Brave Beluga. Philippe is now working as art director and co-director on 10th Ave’s next feature film: Lydia and the Mist Rider.

A trailblazer in 3d animation, founder and president of 10th Ave Productions, Nancy Florence Savard co-produced and directed the first 100% Canadian 3d animated stereoscopic feature, The Legend of Sarila, which was released theatrically in 2013.
In 2014, she received numerous awards, including the Birks Diamond Tribute, awarded to the women of the year in cinema, in recognition of her directing work.
That same year, she produced the first 100% Quebec-made French-language animated feature, Rooster-Doodle-Doo, distributed by Universal Studios in 98 countries. During Spring Break 2018, 10th Ave premiered its third animated feature, produced and co-directed by Nancy, Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly and Simon. For its 20th anniversary in 2019, 10th Ave started work on its fourth animated feature, Felix and the Treasure of Morgäa, a family adventure released in Quebec in 2021, for which rights were sold in 170 countries and territories, and which was selected by 11 festivals.
In 2019, she received the Producer of the Year Award from the Association Québécoise de la Production Médiatique, and in 2022, she was the inaugural recipient of the Rock Demers Award.
Her productions have been selected for no fewer than sixty festivals worldwide, winning numerous awards. Rights to her films have been sold in over 170 countries and territories.
During the winter of 2023, 10th Ave’s fifth animated feature, Katak the Brave Beluga, was released theatrically, generating Canadian box office receipts of over $1.8 million. In addition to numerous nominations like the Award for Success Beyond Quebec’s Borders and the Michel Côté Audience Choice Award, Katak the Brave Beluga won several distinctions: Best Screenplay, Best Art Direction, 2023 Special Young Jury Mention and the Audience Choice Award at the Quebec City Family Film Festival; the Audience Choice Award at FIFEM; the Best Feature Award at the Gijon International Film Festival in Spain; and the Setagaya City Award at the 31st KINEKO International Film Festival.
In 2024, in recognition of her accomplishments, Nancy Florence Savard received a Doctorate Honoris Causa in Animation Art and Science from Laval University.
With 10th Ave, Nancy is now producing her sixth 3D film, Lydia and the Mist Rider, scheduled for release in 2026. She’s also developing five animated features, two live-action features and several series for young audiences.

When her older brother is mysteriously abducted by a sorcerer, 11-year-old Lydia sets out on a dangerous journey across the Misty Sea. Aboard a flying ship, she becomes an apprentice to the astromancer Ambrosia, who is searching for missing children. To uncover the truth and save her brother, Lydia must learn to master magic and confront an unknown threat.
