Twelve-year-old Mira loves creating and turns ordinary, often discarded items into unexpectedly beautiful, imaginative objects. She spends most of her free time with her best friends Naja and Louis, and their bond seems unbreakable – until Naja grows close to a new, “cool” classmate interested in social media, makeup, and first loves. Suddenly, Mira feels left out and begins to question where she belongs. As she tries to win Naja back, she feels pressure to change herself to fit in. Should she stay true to what she loves, or adapt to the world around her. Even her upcoming exhibition suddenly feels less important than the desire to belong again. This sensitive, timely story captures a child’s view of changing friendships and the search for identity with remarkable lightness and understanding. The film shows that growing up brings uncertainty – but also the courage to remain yourself.
