Eleven-year-old friends Pola and Polly spend every summer at their favorite swimming pool, Plitsch Platsch, where Polly’s parents run a bistro. When the place is closed due to lack of funds, Polly moves abroad with her family, leaving Pola behind. Determined to bring her best friend back, Pola sets out to save the pool. She takes action – collecting signatures, rallying other kids, and trying to convince adults that Plitsch Platsch matters to the town. Gradually, she realizes some things cannot be undone – and learns to accept change. This colorful, playful film radiates summer, evoking long days by the water, laughter with friends, and first big decisions. It tells a story of friendship, courage, and learning to let go in order to move forward.
