Ben (12) lives a peaceful life: he goes to school, plays in a band, and helps his veterinarian mother care for a young monkey. He loves cooking and eating but ignores comments about his weight – until a nurse warns him of health risks. Ben’s journey toward losing weight begins. What is it like to grow up labeled "the fat kid"? And is dieting really the answer? This stop-motion film, based on Mikaël Ollivier’s novel, explores childhood obesity with humor and sensitivity, avoiding stereotypes.
