An extraordinary meeting with two extraordinary figures who have devoted a significant part of their lives to children's film. Jo-Anne Blouin from Canada and Felix Vanginderhuysen from Belgium are indisputable icons in the world of children's cinema, whose work has shaped the festival and distribution landscape for decades. Both share a deep belief that young audiences deserve quality and original filmmaking, and their unselfish dedication to this goal has defined their entire professional careers. Blouin founded and has long led the Montreal-based FIFEM festival, which has significantly contributed to the development of independent children’s film in North America. Vanginderhuysen, as the founder of ECFA (European Children's Film Association), has helped connect European initiatives and promote international cooperation.
Their lifelong work is a testament to the fact that true influence comes from long-term vision, international dialogue, and sincere passion for young audiences. The session will include the presentation of awards to both personalities and a talk show moderated by Gert Hermans.
Entry for accredited film professionals only.
