Aurora Gossé (born 1987) is a film director educated at the Norwegian Film School. Her graduation film "We Who See in the Dark" won the Film Critics Prize at the Grimstad Short Film Festival in 2015 and was nominated for the Student Academy Awards that same year. With her music video "Echo," she won 'Talent of The Year' prize at vidAwards in 2016, as well as received an honorable mention at the Short Film Festi- val. The music video also made it to the shortlist for Nordic Music Video Awards. She has directed feature films like "Karsten and Petra Make Theatre" and "Karsten and Petra on a Treasure Hunt", along with a TV series from that universe. She has also directed episodes of TV shows like “Dirty Snow” and “The Farmers” for NRK, as well as “Superhero School” for TV2. Her independent debut, "Dancing Queen" (2023), won more than fifteen international awards, including Amanda for best children's movie and participated at over seventy festivals.
Mina and Markus didn't win the Mjøsa Challenge dance competition but get an amazing consolation prize: a trip to Los Angeles to dance in a music video with a world-famous artist. The dream soon becomes tough for Mina, who struggles to meet the choreographer’s demands. A bright spot appears when an agent invites her to an audition – only for her to realize it’s for a film role! With help from their hostess, Mina steps into acting. Meanwhile, her world shakes when she discovers her father’s infidelity and her parents’ relationship crisis.
