Young Yuri, growing up in a remote Carpathian village, finds an injured ochi cub and realizes it’s not the fearsome creature from local legends. Knowing her father Maxim, a seasoned hunter, would forbid it, she sets out to return the cub to its mother. Along the way, she meets her long-lost mother Dasha, a determined woman living deep in the forest.
