Shadi Adib is an animation Director, Character Designer and hand drawn Animator from Iran based in Germany. She finished with a master’s degree in 2009 in animation at the Tehran Art University and after all graduated as a character animator from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2017. Her film FUSE ran for competition in over 150 renowned festivals around the world and has received several awards. In 2021 she worked on numerous pitches at Studio SOI, as well as a feature film and a new title animation for "Trudes Tier". Her collaboration with the Studio dates back to 2017, where she worked on the sixth season of the successful cartoon network series "The amazing world of Gumball" until she became independet in 2022. She is a long-year preselection jury member of the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS). Since 2022 she is directing a new feature film for a co-production from Spain, Germany and France helmed by MAGO productions, Barcelona.

Aisha is a young girl in the Al-Andalus kingdom, where fireworks are the most popular spectacle of the 11th century. She dreams of becoming a pyrotechnic artist, but her father wants her to follow the family tradition of calligraphy. When adventurous scientist Txawir offers to help build her dream rocket in exchange for access to a forbidden book, Aisha agrees – only for Txawir to steal it and flee. Aisha must recover the book, save him, and find the courage to forge her own destiny as a master of light.
