A heart-wrenching celebration of life's beauty and sadness, this ancient Japanese folktale tells the story of Princess Kaguya. A bamboo cutter finds a girl glowing inside a bamboo stalk and raises her as his daughter. The girl grows rapidly into a beautiful woman. Her father, wanting the best for her, tries to make her a noble court lady. But Kaguya’s heart yearns for something else.
