Leopoldo Aguilar is a director, producer and screenwriter. He graduated from the University of Guadalajara. He has worked on fiction and animation projects, where his work has been recognized at national and international festivals. He has made award-winning short films such as Los Niños Puede Volar (2008), El último golpe (2009) and Tetas para matar (Tits to Kill). His first animated feature film El secreto del medallón de Jade (2012), was awarded in Mexico and Argentina. He is currently working on the pre-production of “Josefina y los Invencibles”.
Bem, a little lemur, is stolen by exotic animal traffickers and brought to Mexico City where he meets Irene, a girl who doesn't leave her house as she’s allergic to everything. Her only contact with the outside world is her uncle Lupillo, the internet, and her friends Lola and Bruno. When she meets Bem, her life changes and she finally has a real friend. With the help of her friends, Irene will help Bem return home.
