Vanessa Chu, born in Soltau, studies Visual Effects at the University of Television and Film Munich. Her love for creative design and digital tools is evident in Woodland, her first animated film, made with two fellow students.
Emil Pogolski, born in Munich in 2002, has a passion for creating fantastic creatures - be it on paper or in a 3D program. In his first HFF project Woodland, he was able to expand his knowledge of cinematic storytelling and character design.
With the help of a magical flute, an ancient forest creature keeps a dark cloud at bay – one that blocks the sun and causes plants to wither.
