Aleksi Salmenperä(b.1973)is one of the most acclaimed Finnish filmmakers. His films have premiered in major film festivals such as Berlinale, Toronto, Cannes and San Sebastian. His works include films such as The Mine (2016), Distractions, (2015), A Bad Family (2009). His latest film Void (2018) was awarded with four Finnish National Film Award, including Best Film and Best Direction. "The only responsible way for me to work is to make films about life. As I see it,” the director says about his work.

Eveliina's (16) life is turned upside down when she spots her mother passionately kissing another woman. Like all teenagers, she feels freedom of thought and action are important, but not when it comes to her own parents. She lives in a free-spirited family, where her dad has lots of good advice for her, but does not see his own marriage is in jeopardy. Eveliina decides to end her mother's affair and make her parents fall in love again, or at least stay together. After all, she is the glue holding them together.
