When a black girl, Mavela (15), meets a gang called the Black Bronx, she feels at home. She gains friends who introduce her to street life, feeling a sense of belonging for the first time. Simultaneously, she realizes that joining the gang is a lifelong commitment – once you're in, you're in for good. But Mavela has no intention of leaving. One day, a turning point arrives. She meets Marwan, a Moroccan member of a rival gang. Their love at first sight initiates a dangerous story reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet.
