Zhonghua Zhang, born on 1st June, 1983 and raised in the ancient city of Xi'an, China. As a director, he specialises in children films, and his films have made achievements both in and outside China. As a teacher, he teaches film students in Northwest University in Xi'an.

Third-year students at a junior high of a countryside school are called “the hopeless herd” because of their bad grades, with Ba “taking the lead”. One day, a young strong-minded teacher comes to teach art. Because of his efforts, this hopeless herd is well tended, and the students find themselves facing a better future.
