Born in 1994, Teys Schucany grew up in Roskilde (DK), USA & Australia. He started out acting in and directing theater, which later led him to filmmaking. Today, he’s directed more than 8 short films, and in 2022 he got his directing degree from the Danish film school, Super16. Teys draws upon his own life experiences as the core of his films. He is inspired by small dramas and characters who feel like outsiders, with a goal of telling queer stories in an honest, raw and informative way. Shy Lau plans to spend the summer at a traditional boys' camp, where he feels like a complete outsider among the other participants. The local boys are all more confident and louder; they tease Lau for his fragility. The only person Lau feels close to is older Aksel, a cool guy from Copenhagen, but Aksel would never admit that he's starting to develop feelings for Lau... This summer coming-out series premiered in the competition of the prestigious international television festival Series Mania in Lille.
