Lea holds a BA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London and the Cooper Union in New York and an MA from the University of Television and Film Munich (almuni: Wolfgang Petersen, Bernd Eichinger, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck). She is represented in Germany by Monica Conti / WRITERS & DIRECTORS.

Alex and Juli are inseparable twins who couldn't be more different; Juli is academically inclined while Alex is the opposite and has just failed her final exams. They get to together with skateboarding newbie Nia and fearless Ewa and form the skate crew "GetUp" and enter a contest whose prize is an Interrail trip and new skateboards for everyone. The special bond between the twins is put to the test, and even the friendship with Nia starts to crack when she suddenly gets cold feet before the competition...
