Kate Tiuri is a Ukrainian director from Sevastopol. For 12 years, Katya has been involved in directing commercials and music videos. After February 24, 2022, Katya shifted her focus towards documentary filmmaking. In 2019, Katya made her debut in short film, showcasing the life of the dance community in Kyiv. The film made it to the shortlist of 40 film festivals, receiving several special mentions and awards. In 2020, Katya directed a series of short films about summer weekends. This project also made it to Ukrainian and international short film festival shortlists. In 2023, Katya began working on her first feature-length documentary film about the children of Ukraine. The film was completed in February 2024. And also in 2024, she released the short documentary film "People who keep living" about the cultural life in Ukraine during the full-scale war.

Ultimately, Katya concludes that while uncertain about Crimea's liberation, rediscovering home entails returning to the familiar, cherished simplicity of her 33-year life.
