Lorena Ares and Carlos F. De Vigo co-manage the Dr. Platypus & Ms. Wombat studios. Carlos' debut feature is the 2D animated film "Memoirs of a Man in Pajamas", nominated for the Goya and Platino Awards, among others, and winner of the Gaudí Award. He is the director and writer of the animated short film "Morti," with over 20 selections. Carlos has contributed to more than a dozen feature films. Lorena has worked as an animator on films such as "Midnight's Summer Dream", "The Spirit of the Forest", and "Holy Night!". Her debut film, "Hanna and the Monsters" has received Goya and Gaudí nominations. Together, they directed "It Dawns the Longest Night" nominated for the Goya and winner of the Biznaga de Plata at the Málaga Film Festival.

Lorena
Ares

With a degree in Fine Arts and a Master's in Creation and digital communication, she began her professional career in 2001 at Dygrafilms, a pioneering 3D CGI animation production company in Europe. She participated in the feature films "A San Juan Night's Dream" (2005), "The Spirit of the Forest" (2008), and "Holy Night!" (2010), as well as in several short films. From 2011 to 2018, she directed the animation department at Moonbite Animation Studios, carrying out projects such as the video game "Zombeer" (2014), or the 2D animation with real footage mixed film "Memoirs of a man in pajamas" (2018 – Goya Award winner), also supervising the character design, the layout and actor coaching. She is currently part of Dr. Platypus & Ms. Wombat Studios. She has directed the 3D CGI animated feature film "Hanna and the Monsters", combining her work as a teacher in the Computer Engineering video game title at UPNA, participating in the development of the 3D animated feature film "DinoGames" and in the animated short films 2D “The Longest Night Dawns” and “Cafuné”.
