BIOGRAPHY Filip Diviak is a Slovak film director and animator. He studied animation at the Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín, Czech Republic. He focuses primarily on hand-drawn animation, but also works in part as an illustrator and the designer of both the characters and the environment. While in school, he did an internship in the Animaskin Studio in Norway. Later, he worked as a designer for the Prague Krutart studio. In 2021, he and other animators set up the Tri Pirogy animation studio based in Zlín. His main interest is to tell stories concerning important social topics, as seen through the eyes of a child. Innocently, gently, inventively, and playfully. He has shot several successful short films that have won awards at festivals around the globe. The main character goes to wake up the inhabitants of a northern village in all weather. His life runs quite routinely until he gets a bell instead of money.
