Née en 1992, en Italie.
Marta Gennari étudie au Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Turin). Son film "Merlot" remporte alors le Emile Award 2018. Puis elle intègre l’école de La Poudrière (Valence), où elle réalise "Bigoudis" (sélections à Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand…). Elle collabore comme réalisatrice, storyboardeuse et animatrice pour de nombreuses productions, puis co-fonde en 2021 le collectif Les Optimistes (qui propose des ateliers d’initiation au cinéma d’animation).

Marta Gennari studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Turin). Her film ‘Merlot’ won the 2018 Emile Award. She then joined at La Poudrière school (Valence), where she directed ‘Bigoudis’ (selected for Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, etc.). She has worked as adirector, storyboard artist and animator on many productions, then in 2021, she co-founded the collective Les Optimistes (running introductory workshops on animated film).

Termina gli studi alla Poudrière (Valence) con il corto “Bigoudis” (selezionato a Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, etc...). Lavora come regista, story-boarder e animatrice per svariate produzioni francesi e fonda nel 2021 il collettivo Les Optimistes (che organizza ateliers ed eventi per promuovere il cinema d'animazione).
